
CLIMATE CHANGE
In the context of raising awareness about the impacts of climate change, Organization Earth actively participates in European programs aiming to create a society that is informed about the European Union’s policies on addressing climate change. We contribute to building a society aware of the consequences of climate change, one that understands the EU’s strategies to tackle it. At the same time, we encourage youth engagement and the active participation of citizens in shaping the future of Europe and ensuring the sustainability of local communities.

Description
The "Cities Go Climate Neutral" program aims to strengthen the skills of municipal employees and elected officials, encouraging the transition toward climate-neutral cities. It represents a significant step toward building more sustainable and climate-neutral communities by enhancing the capacities of local authorities and raising public awareness on climate change issues.

BeYOU
Boosting sustainability and social change through youth-led community development

Description
The "Be YOU" project aims to create sustainable, inclusive communities led by young people, with the aim of actively involving both young people and youth workers. The project is implemented in Italy, Spain, Greece, Cyprus and Romania and targets young people belonging to vulnerable social groups and at risk of social exclusion.
Purpose of the Project

Fostering the empowerment and active engagement of young leaders as “resources" for social change and sustainable development in their local communities and in the European society.

Generating a youth led community development processes that strengthen mechanisms of active participation and social responsibility of young leaders in the sustainable and inclusive development of their local communities.

Providing young people with a meaningful voice on issues that matter to them directly in the framework of the recovery process in their local communities.
Project Actions
-
Stakeholders’ engagement: Communication, mobilization and engagement of young people, primary/secondary schools, local authorities, and private/public stakeholders in the local communities involved.

Transnational course and seminar: 1 Transnational training course involving 20 youth workers to become “community leaders” in the frame of the “Youth Community Bank” pilot program and 1 final transnational seminar involving 5 youth workers and 20 young leaders awarded the community grants to share learning experiences and practices in the frame of the “Community Youth Bank” pilot program.

Community incubators: Establishment of “Community Incubators” (run and coordinated by young people) in each local community and launch of the “Youth Community Bank” pilot program providing small opportunity grants (from euro 250 to 1,000) to engage young people to develop small community-projects that meet their own needs.

Crow-funding platform: Co-development of a community crowd-funding platform.

Advocacy, dissemination, and exploitation: Advocacy, dissemination, and exploitation of the project values, outcomes & and outputs to ensure their sustainability and transferability to a wider audience of young people from other regions and local communities in Europe.

COGREENEU
European Cooperation Against Climate Change

Description
"COGREENEU" aims to give voice and encourage debate among young citizens, who are particularly affected by the current global crisis and seek their own space to participate in society. The project will serve to mobilize young people and guide them towards greater citizen participation in the future of Europe and the sustainability of local communities. The youth sector as involved citizens will be the main target group of this project to create a climate change aware society that understands the activities planned by the EU in terms of addressing climate change and promoting the rights and ideas of all its citizens.
Project Purpose

Design and implement new local policies that will be supported and promoted by young people.

Raise awareness and sensitize the young population about the European Green Deal and its role in the ecological transition of the EU.

Increase the civic responsibility of intergenerational citizens and their participation in issues related to the sustainable development of their cities.

Promote the exchange of experiences and joint learning between the different participants from the different European cities, in order to formulate local strategies and actions on the European Green Deal and the ecological transition.

Contribute to the dissemination and dissemination of European policies on the environment at the local level, with special emphasis on youth.

The young participants will have the opportunity to anonymously express their views on the exchange program.

Groups will be formed for all program activities in order to encourage participants' social interaction.

Don’t call it change

Description
“Don’t call it change” fits in this framework, responding to the priority of engaging citizens in the discussion related to climate and green issues. It takes its name from the fact that the climate and life on the planet are constantly changing, but human activities have accelerated this constant modification turning a physiological change into a crisis causing imbalance and discrimination. In the wide topic of the climate crisis, the partnership focuses on its intersectional consequences on specific dimensions: human rights, migrations, gender equality, and ocean and marine life.
Project Purpose

Increasing the awareness of EU citizens on policies and initiatives at the EU level on the topic of climate crises and environment, including participatory initiatives promoted.

Engaging youngsters in the debate about climate crisis through non-formal and participatory methods.

Promoting exchange and debate at the EU level on the intersectional consequences of the climate emergency, connecting young people and organization transnationally .

Stimulating the adoption of participatory and non-formal methods to discuss and educate on the impact of the climate crisis, collecting materials and good practices, both written and in video format, to use in a different context.

Strengthening international cooperation on the topic of climate emergency building a network of organizations with complementary competencies.

GEN GREEN
Youth-Driven Solutions for a Sustainable Sports Landscape
Description
The "GenGreen" project empowers local associations to create and implement educational activities to tackle climate change and supports youth-led initiatives in their local communities. By developing educational programmes, promoting intercultural exchanges and actively engaging young people in initiatives in Austria, Hungary, Greece and Denmark, Gen Green provides them with the tools to bring about meaningful change. Through these efforts, the project is strengthening youth participation and climate change awareness in participating organizations.
Project Purpose

Empowering young people in climate advocacy, with a focus on active citizenship, leadership and environmental awareness.

Linking environmental awareness with skills for expressing the needs of the younger generation.

Promote strategic cooperation between youth organisations, climate change experts and sports clubs.

Youth meeting in Denmark: A gathering of 60 young people from Austria, Denmark, Greece, and Hungary to learn, collaborate, and exchange ideas.

Educational visit to Greece: An opportunity for participants to explore best practices in environmental action.

Youth-led initiatives: Implement activities in Austria, Denmark, Greece, and Hungary, aiming to empower at least 300 young people and raise climate awareness through physical activity.
